My "anxiety dream" is that I'm supposed to take an exam . . . first I can't find the room . . . then I remember that I never bought the books and never went to class . . . then when I find the room and sit down and open the blue book, the exam is written in a foreign language that I don't know . . . .
But my favorite anxiety dream of all is my dad's: he's on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, the overture is playing, and he doesn't know his part. Sometimes he doesn't even know what opera he's in.

Anxiety dream, hmm...
I'm driving near a lake, and the road keeps getting nearer and nearer to the water, until eventually the road is covered by water and disappears... variations include driving on a road in the country which eventually turns into a trail and then disappears, or driving on a road under construction and suddenly realizing the construction isn't finished (usually as my car flies off the end of the uncompleted overpass...)
