Heh...I can't usually afford red meat for me, let alone for a cat. But she gets the best I can afford...usually one level better than the grocery store brands.
I appreciate the thought, though! And I think maybe it's a bit more hopeful than your friend guessed, since it wasn't so much a matter of the cancer having spread as it was that he may not have gotten it all. He said he went as "wide" as he could, but didn't cut much deeper than the tumor itself since it would have involved the lung and been a much more serious surgery. But I don't believe it's spread to the lung yet...I just worry that if and when it comes back, it may.
I think he did the best he could do. He's a good vet...I trust that he'll give me the best advice he can.
And she isn't young...she's nine, which is just below the average, but she's mostly Siamese - a mix so far as I know, but her personality and appearance are very much Siamese, so she definitely has that risk factor, which apparently can mean they get it a bit early. In any case...she's had a fairly long life, and if this buys her another year or two in comfort, that's all I can ask for.

I can't usually afford red meat for me, let alone for a cat Ugh, I know how that goes. I tried a raw food diet with Oliver when his urinary tract problems started up. He turned his nose up at it. Good thing! Can't afford it now with the house anyway. Might try again someday when there's more room in the budget.

I think maybe it's a bit more hopeful than your friend guessed,Let's hope so! :) BTW on the age I wasn't sure I had given him the right impression on that and he asked me about that later, so I went back and noticed one of your posts where you mentioned Cleo's age and saw she wasn't that young. Anyway, I'll keep praying about it!
Planning to watch 5000 Fingers of Dr. T later today :)
