No, actually, it was my grandma, his wife who was from your neck of the woods. That said, many years ago, he purchased plots for him and grandma in the cemetery in Hubbard. Grandma was buried there December a year ago. He will be in good company as most of my grandma's family is also buried there. Heck, I think I am related to the entire population of Hubbard, and Mt Calm for that matter (prolly half of Waco too, now that I think about it).
After lunch, elf-boy and I headed over to White Settlement to get grandpa's things. That took much of the day. I meant to call everyone tonight, but I really don't have any information to give other than he has passed. No funeral plans have been made, and NONE of the children (my mother and her siblings) even know yet. They left on a cruise to Cancuun this past Saturday! Mom has all the funeral arrangements prepaid, but I have no idea where to even begin to look for the information. Hmm. I really hope she calls home so we can tell her. Otherwise, we, my brother and I, have no way to get in touch with her. < /vent>
We are going to compare geneology notes one of these days and find out *how* we are related!!! :-)
I'm sorry to hear that this all happened while your mom is out of town and that you're having to deal with all this. I know it's tough. Good thing to know it is pre-planned though. I'll be praying for you, your mom and family. You know you're in the Hobbit Hole hearts now.
