In America? What states?

Mostly in Ireland on my mother's side and Norway on my father's. My family's from Wisconsin. We have one ancestor we've traced to Pennsylvania, and we don't know where she was from before that; the rest came here directly from Ireland and Norway, and also the German/Polish border (not sure if the area was part of Germany or Poland at the time in question), though we haven't traced that branch earlier than the 19th century. Actually we've only traced the Irish branch directly to the 19th century, but we've found a family with the same name from the 17th century; and the Norwegian side I believe we've actually traced back even earlier than that--would need to look, but I think it was maybe to the 14th or 15th century.

Cool. My peeps are mostly originally from Virginia and migrated all over the South. Mostly English, some Scots and Ulster Scots (Scots-Irish) and a German fellow who came down from Penn. to the Carolinas. I also have Belgian and French (S. Louisiana) on my mother's mother's side.

I haven't found any relations that are post-Revolutionary War.
