I think I found the funny parts even funnier the second time I read it. Probably because, knowing how it came out, the second time I wasn't so engrossed with the storyline that I missed some of the cute humour of a lot of it.

LOL! When I was a kid my Mom had those two books right next to each other on the bookshelf!--didn't realize it was a trend :)

His "Incarnations of Immortality" series is brilliant.

That's what they were called. I recall the titiles "Being a Green Mother" and "On a Pale Horse" ---excellent series. Everything else of his was too cutesy for me.

LOL! Gringo asada! You can't believe how much of that is out there. I love Papa's. It is the best. Too bad I only have a couple of times a year....I need to go visit him more often, don't I!?! Did mama tell you about this past December when he had made a-whole-lota of it for the Ochoa gathering. He was trying to carry it himself and dropped the entire batch onto the floor. He was almost in tears they said.

my friend was telling me about one premised on the South winning the Civil War

Harry Turtledove. Haven't read him yet, but he's on my "list." Comes highly recommended. I just started on AU type stories... I'm reading a really good one right now (actually it's a literary AU) called "Anno Dracula" by Kim Newman. The premise is, what if van Helsing had failed and Dracula won? And Dracula ended up turning and marrying the widow Queen Vickie?

I'll write you back about horror books. Right now I'm supposed to be shopping and getting ready to leave town in about two hours. But I'll be back tomorrow. Laters!

Well, I just couldn't bear to get all dressed to go for the oil change. It is too nice and warm out. So, I just decided to go with shorts that cover 95% of my tattoos and a top that covers maybe 85% of my tummy! LOL... That's as close as I can get to dressed today!!!

Sounds perfect to me. That's what I would do if I had your body. I wish I could eat chips and dips and burritos and carne asada everyday and look like you. Stpuid thyroid disorder...I am so disfunctional!
