It's Peter Lind Hayes. He hosted various TV series'(seriesi? Serieses?) in the 50's and 60's.

It's Peter Lind Hayes. He hosted various TV series'(seriesi? Serieses?)Surely you can't be series? :) I found a list of his TV/movie appearances at Peter Lind Hayes, but I could swear I've seen him somewhere besides what's listed there--an old sf movie or MST3K or something. Hmmm. . .
I can't watch this movie without laughing because every time Hans Conreid talks I think of either Thorin or Horton Hears a Who :)
BTW, I think this movie also may have influenced Chitty Chitty Bang-Bang and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory--what do you think?

See ya'll in a bit. School's out and I gotta stop by WalMart on the way home.
I got a little friend coming over tomorrow night. Debbie, the friend who stayed with me those nights a couple of weeks ago called and said her 3 year old granddaughter won't stop asking to go visit Kimerrry's house. And so, she's coming over to spend the evening with me tomorrow. :-)
I get to kinda pretend I got a grandkid! :-)
So, I'm stopping at WalMart to get goodies for tomorrow night! :-)
Gotta get ice cream and cookies and chicken nuggets and milk. :-)

Well...Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a book before it was a movie...so dunno about that one.
I might add that the book was better.

So how come the only kids that I get to borrow are teenagers? Unfair!
Though at this point, I'm not sure how kidproof my house is. Dogproof...yes. Kids are tougher!
Heh...for many, many years (me being the oldest of eight, and the youngest just now 13), we didn't have much of anything moveable below three feet or so...no books, nothing that could be spilled or ripped, and definitely nothing small enough to put into a mouth. Looking back, it must have looked kinda comical to anyone visiting!

I still gotta read the book of that :) Was gonna read either the Oz or Hardy Boys series next, but if I see that I might get it. Chitty Chitty Bang-Bang was a book before it was a movie, too, BTW--same guy who wrote James Bond wrote it, believe it or not.

See ya'll in a bit. School's out and I gotta stop by WalMart on the way home.Sorry I missed ya! I've been working out since my second-last post, just got done. Anyway, pretending you've got a grandkid sound like it'll be fun! :) Ice cream and cookies and chicken nuggets sounds good! :) Are you going to take her out anywhere?

No really, mine isn't like that anymore. But with so many years difference in Myranda's and Jill's ages, my house has been like you described for the better part of my life! :-)
I dunno why I get kids. Little kids like me. I think it's cause I don't have 'em around often so I like to play with 'em when they're here. Also, I have little kid furniture and videos and stuff for the grandkids. Kids like that. :-)

Hair; very glad to hear about Kitty 6; excellent news indeed. Thanks for posting.

Naaa... we're not going anywhere. Just gonna stay here and play and watch videos and eat while her real granny goes to her night class. Prolly about 3 or 4 hours. That's just about the right amount of time for me though. :-)

You are welcome! I figured out the flaxseed carbs...comes out to .3 net carbs per tablespoon, so this recipe has 1.2 net carbs for the flaxseed.
I also intend to add caraway seeds to the recipe. I'm making a corned beef brisket and intend to slice it up for sandwiches for Steve to take to work...with this as the bread (with the caraway seeds) and some sauerkraut and some swiss cheese...sounds like a tasty Reuben, huh?

Staying home for videos sounds good, too! Have you picked the videos out yet?--I'm trying to think of what kids that young watch.
To: 2Jedismom
I just had a Reuben for St. Patrick's Day! Corned beef is very good when done right :)
To: Fedora
Well, last time she fell in love with Veggie Tales. I have a whole rack of videos for the grandkids. She can just pick what she wants.
Hey, this is the Granny's-R-Us place! :-)

Hey there... got home OK I see?
To: Wneighbor
I've got lots of little kid videos even here. And books. And some toys, too. Dunno how exactly that happened. Guess I'm all set to be a Granny!
Except...there's another step I think I'm missin'. What could it be, what could it be?
