As you should be. And it seems you and I share a former avocation.

Ya gotta be a cowboy, Colonel. :-) Figures. I'm best known for falling off horses, not for riding them.

Oh you just reminded me of my poem,
Riding Horses.
I think I posted it some time back. I love that poem.

Early MASH was wonderful. They should have never added the soapboxes. When I was in college, the show was in its syndication heyday, and I could watch it about 5 times a day. At one time I knew almost every line of every episode.

Marriage Is the Closest Kind of Friendship

Marriage is the closest kind of friendship.
Years of traffic wear away the lines
Between two souls with similar designs,
Ending more in unity than kinship.
Separate actors must play separate parts:
They must alone be riveted by need.
Far beneath that soil a single seed
Roots itself, tenacious in their hearts.
In love there is a trust beyond the word.
Each finds peace in each, as though the light
Needed the tranquility of night,
Deeper than what silence can be heard.

It's easy to get into a mushy mood, especially here at the Liar.

Missing you ...
friends lost are friends still
they come to mind in the oddest moments
bringing smiles, with warmth and grace
while longing to connect once more;
moving the heart to motiviate will
an action designed to partake
the happy reunion anticipated
... a simple blessing ...
beautiful you are to me ... P
Hi! How are you? How many of our old fellow poets are around here? Have you kept in touch? Much? It does seem like home here on Free Republic, doesn't it? Hi Sam!
To: Countyline
Missing you, too!!!
Oh my dear, it's wonderful to hear from you.
We have some wonderful poets here and sure would enjoy seeing your wonderful work once again.
Yes, home here at FR. :-)
