The scam here operates like this. When you email the seller to get approved, the seller will email you and offer to sell item straight to you without going through ebay. Of course much cheaper. Then they will ask for a western union money transfer. Then you will get an email claiming to be from Ebay supposedly vouching for the seller and assuring you that everything is on the up and up and you can trust the seller. They tell you your money is 100% gaurunteed by ebay. So when you wire the money, they pick it up and disappear and your money is untraceable.

Actually, I don't think it is an intentional scam. This poor soul thinks they have the real thing.
