My local cigar store is having a tasting next week of cigars made from pre-embargo Cuban tobacco.

40+ year-old tobacco.

It was a pretty awful smoke the last time I tried it. Think I'll pass this time.

When I was in high school, the parents of a buddy of mine bought a local variety store. One day, went rummaging through the old stock out in the garage and came across a carton of "Craven A" cigarettes. They were the kind with no filter, but just a cork tip to keep the paper from sticking to your lips. Must have been sitting back there about 20 years or so. Of course we smoked em, and man were they ever strong and oh soooo good.
