I’ve sat on the rim of Crater Lake, and it’s breathtaking. Some areas of the lake are over a thousand feet deep. The cone is called Wizard Island.
Mount Lassen (to the south)still has steam cauldrons.
Note the bottom photo of the ash pinnacles

I used to live in Susanville. My dad worked on the Lassen National Forest. There are wonderful pictures of the last eruption of Mt. Lassen in the museum in Susanville.
