DUDES!! A-Rod a Yankee?? Could it get any better than this? Plug in 50 HRs and 140 RBI right now. Now if Yankee pitching can hold up (d@mn, I'd feel a lot better if Pettitte were still around)...

What downside for A-Rod? He should be ecstatic even at third! Playing the House That Ruth Built and having his career validated here just as Clemens once was. He and Jeter ain't gonna have ANY problem about the past, and he'll be a great guy for the clubhouse too.

But what of Soriano?? Better to unload him while he still looks good on paper. Willie Randolph could marry the guy and still Soriano is Chuck Knoblauch-lite at second. And the guy is a head case -- his erratic hitting and fielding and those 27 strikeouts in the playoffs signaled his last days as a Yankee. Bon voyage, Sorrie...

And a memo to Red Sox Fans and all Yankee-Haters:

Do you really think Enrique Wilson will start at 2nd? Naah. Watch Steinbrenner buy us a future Hall of Fame second baseman -- btw, who's out there that we can steal, and then play a billion dollars to play in New York? Heh-heh-heh...

This is the best of all possible worlds -- getting A-Rod and sticking it to Red Sox (and Mets) fans at the same time. Sweet!
