SBC vs. Roadrunner, Service? Vanity
Major Frustration
| A really P.O.ed SBC client

My question is this, do RoadRunner customers get treated as if they were idiots, or do they get service?

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to convince SBC retards that there was nothing wrong with my computer, that the fault was on their end.
They wanted me to unplug my LynkSys box and do this, that, and the other damned thing before they would even report a problem in --------- Texas.
Ironically, as soon as they said "Thank you for choosing SBC" and I said "maybe next time I will choose RoadRunner", my internet access was miracolously restored.

Don't they have a way to do some remote diagnostics on the cable modum?
Adelphia does.
They have had me power everything down and back up in a specified sequence, reasonable requests.
Then after doing the routine, they have scheduled me for visits from diagnostics technician.
Splitters seem to often be the problem !
Be careful with what you buy at Radio Shack, the specifics as to what you need may vary from one cable company to another.
In my case the tech gave me good ones!
