All Faithful participators,
I don't generally come to this section of FR and have never posted on one of these threads. That said, I would like you to consider a friend of mine in your prayers.
This week my co-workers SIL will be undergoing a c-section to give birth to her child. This child was diagnosed with very serious health problems and the potential that this child will live a very short life filled with suffering is big. The mother was advised to abort early in the pregnancy and chose to give birth to this child. Please pray for the mom and the child, mom's name is Tracey.
The only reason that I even became aware of this situation is due to a discussion about abortion and my co-worker is attempting to use this unforunate situation as support for legal abortion. She feels that the mother should have aborted the child so the child would not have suffered.
Anyway, thank you all for the prayers.

Prayers for all, for guidance and understanding, for help with friends that abandon us, for Tracey & child, for God's glessings and grace. Praise God for ALL that He has done for us. There are no minuscule requests, would your child hurting be of no consequence? Our Heavenly Father loves ALL His children, and delights in our prayer and communion with Him.
And yes, a ping list would be nice ;o)

When it gets too big to handle, give it to Him to lighten the load. He will not let you down.

Ronald Reagan is the most influential public figure in my life. Did you see this little tribute?
Happy Birthday
I liked you in the movies,
All made so long ago.
On TV in my youthful years,
You'd host that western show.
Later on I'd catch your talks,
On late night radio.
Your great talks on the U S A,
Helped keep me in the know.
Then when you ran for President,
I was the first in line.
I cast my vote and felt so good,
My vote I knew was fine.
You led us through some tough times,
With such class through it all.
You stood and faced the Soviets,
That caused the wall to fall.
So Happy Birthday to you Ron,
You're still high on my chart.
I pray for you and Nancy too,
You both have won my heart.

Thanks to all who are keeping her in their prayers.
I did find out some more specific info. They have already chosen a name for the child, he will be named Ethan. He has been diagnosed with Dandie Walker disease (spelling?). The c-section is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17th.
Thanks again to all of you.

You have an excellent memory. I have a few small bamboo plants growing right now (not that "lucky bamboo" stuff - the real thing!). I have two Bambusa malingensis - one potted, one in soil. They have grown from 2ft to 5ft in 6 months. I also have some beautiful black bamboo (can't remember the species name). If you just look around while you are driving, you will be amazed at how many places you can find bamboo! A snip and a cut (with owner's permission) will get you started again.
