I find the religious aspect of the UFO phenomenon very interesting.

However, when I posted this article I was much more interested in what the reaction of the U.S. government and other governments would be to the overt arrival of alien beings.

What will our governments do when when public first contact is made with an alien race? Will different nations have different approaches to first contact? What will the UN do? Religious and theological implications are an important part of first contact, but there are many other considerations that should be taken into account.

The theological debate is interesting, but in this particular thread, my concern is the implications for public policy.

Guess I haven't been very clear on that point.

Chris would be best to reply more authoritatively and in more detail.

As I see it, The USA has been more or less tasked with leading the pack. Somehow it has to all end up facilitating, in support of, forcing the world government on the whole planet including on the USA.

Beyond that, guessing is . . . . welll guessing. And I invite enough hazards without guessing tooooooooooo far out on a limb.

We are so far beyond first contact, what a laugh.

Nearly every significant thing from Brown vs Board 1954 right down to Gay Marriage, that the govt has imposed on us in the last 57 years is at the behest of the ETs.

First treaty of USA with aliens, GREADA 54 Treaty, gave them among other things cattle parts, gold, allowed abductions of humans, etc. We were to get technology, transistors, fiber optics, silicon wafers, solid state electronics, etc etc.

Chris is quite right.

Sorry if we seem to ignore overmuch your post's perspective.

It is just that given all the givens . . . it is like reading a comic book about the war of 1776 and finding out that some people--even most people--still think the comic book is about the FUTURE.

All the stuff in that article, as best as I can recall--all that stuff is GROSSLY, GROSSLY, GROSSLY ARCHIAC in terms of where events already are. And change is occurring rapidly and at a faster and faster pace, imho.

If you have some specific questions relative to those issues, I'm sure Chris and I would be happy to try and answer them from what we know. But in general--it's just tooooooo laughable to treat the article seriously because it is sooooooooooooooooooooo archiac, out of date. And even the real beginning was quite different from the fantasy outlined in the article.
