I think some of the Jewish scriptures were left out of the OT, I blame the Catholics.

Actually, they were left out of the OT by the Jews--some of the Diaspora texts (Sirach, etc.) are considered sacred by the Catholic church, but are rejected by the Jewish community (too much that prefigures Christ). Protestants don't like them very much, either.

I think some of the Jewish scriptures were left out of the OT :-) The Jews kept their own Holy Canon - Christians got the OT from them. If you're missing any books, you can pick up a KJ Bible, and rest assured this version of the Bible has the official, word for word English translation of the Jewish Canon (OT) from the time of Christ and before.

I blame the Catholics. I occasionally listen to a Rabbi on shortwave. He was "blaming" the Catholics for chapterizing and versing the Torah (OT) the other week.

It is the Protestants who left them out, the Catholics and Orthodox include quite a number of them including the two books of Maccabees. I am not sure about Enoch, that is the best one. I know ben-Sirakh is in the Catholic bible.
