What's worse, I ride a scoot and I live in Garland. These cops deserved to be fired. The chief of police said they were fired not only over the incident itself but because of the blatant lies to cover it up. Seems the officers either weren't aware, or had simply forgotten that the camera in the other patrol car caught the whole thing.

There must be a lot more to the incident than covered in that brief article.

Putting the person who tried to elude police on the ground as quickly as possible is a pretty standard procedure, so I don't understand the problem with the actual tackle.
