Ask the Marine if he still is proud of the Corps. If so, ask why he supports the party that routinely aids and abets the enemy while our folks are fighting for his freedom.

May I suggest patting this Marine on his pointy little head, smiling sweetly and sayking, "There, there now, you just don't understand, do you?"

You can easily convert him. Just slowly feed him the facts. Nothing too fast - he'll take you for a nut. Just slow, steady, facts. Everyone working for me is conservative, but it took the work of a few enterprising women to make that happen. As it is now, we all but have a sign on the door that says "Liberals Need Not Apply" ;o)

(There is no rejection in life quite like a canceled shrink appointment.)

Those who disagree with the tax cuts should put their money where there mouth is and send in more than what is due.

I would suggest you don't discuss politics. It's stacked against you. Concentrate on the things you have in common, the weather, the movies, anything else. You'll be much happier that way.

The last place I worked was liberal central: one lady stomped in after Arnold won over Davis and went on a rampage all day long, zipping off faxes in protest.
A guy who worked there told me he secretly voted for Arnold but told his wife, a rabid dem, that he voted for Bustamonte so she wouldn't kick him out of the house.
Just another day in the Bay Area.
