LOL I always put my teapot on to heat up right when I start something I don't want to do. Like mopping the floor, I'd put the teapot on but I would put it to heat on low, so that by the time it got heated up, I'm finishing up!
Usually it's to scrub the sink. Every night I clean the kitchen and when I get to the last thing, scrubbing out the sink, I put the kettle on and crank up the heat. Then I scrub the sink like mad to get it done before the teapot whistles!
When the sink is done, I put my teabag in to steep, sweep under the table and suck that up with the dustbuster...tea's ready, I'm done...time to SIT!
