Mmmm...dill...that's another thing I'd like to grow.
My herb garden did horribly last year, though. Turns out the spot I picked was overrun with ants, for one...lots and lots and lots of 'em. And sandy, too.
I wish I had the energy and skill to terrace the little hill beside the house. That's probably the only place I could really do a garden...but even THAT may be sandy and insect infested.

Sandy soil is good for lots of herbs. And I would think you could even grow the dill on the hill. Throw out the seed. I never plant it, I just throw it out.
You can sprinkle sulphur out for ants.
