Steve says, "nothing yet", but I'll file the insurance claim after Feb. 17. Yeah, it was all spelled out in the customs form. But I also sent it insured, which means the post office has to watch out for that kind of stuff. There was nothing else in the package, so I had to say "pocket tools" on the customs form.
The post office also told me there has been 100% inspection of all mail to APOs since that "orange/yellow" high alert. Once the latest batch of knives is engraved, I'm going to sheip another bunch to Steve. Maybe I'll split it into 3 or 4 shipments. Costs more, but maybe some of them will make it through. If the original knives appear in Iraq, Steve can use them as trading stock. If they're gone, and if the post office pays off on the insurance (a big IF, the PO rarely pays up), I'll buy more knives.
Speaking of Steve, here's a picture of him and his truck, and a part of the "garage" they can't use right now because of a little visit by the Air Force when the place was under previous management.
