On a related topic, I recently discovered that our Hobbit Hole knife, the CRKT 5700, had a second version, the 5800. This was the first time I even knew the thing existed. It appears to have been made in very small numbers, and I found only one dealer that had them.
The design is actually more practical as a general-purpose knife, since the sweep of the blade makes cutting easier. OTOH, the tanto point and straight edge of the 5700 is better for stabbing. At $32, I bought one, just to add to the collection. If it had been for sale for $17, it might have been our Hobbit Hole knife.
