There you go!
I was just telling OT the other day that I felt like I needed to get a cell phone, that I was thinking of getting one of those ones at Walmart with the prepaid minutes, you know? Just because of that reason...a what if situation.
I have unlimited long distance too, on nights and weekends...

We have so many night and weekend minutes that it might as well be unlimited. I forget how many but calculated it one time and discovered we would both have to talk most of the weekend and hours in the night to use them all! It's nice now cause with her far away and me here we can use them to talk to each other....cept she has too busy a life. But, she did talk to me got 2 hours yesterday morning! :-)

I like the pre-paid minutes. I don't like paying monthly for something I'm not going to use very often.
My plan to fire the phone company is facing obstacles....I can't get Earthlink cable internet because of contractual deals the apt has. I know I can get SBC DSL but I'd still have to have a land line to get it (and I wouldn't get nationwide unlimited dialup access for when I go visit "back home." Not sure if I can get cable internet with Direct TV yet.
*Sigh* At least I can get all the radio broadcasts of the stooopid Cubs over the internet for not too much.
