She is so clueless. It's part of what women should do! For years after I left home I didn't ever wear any perfume at all. Now, I have found there are a few that don't aggrevate my allergies WHEN THEY AREN'T ALREADY ACTING UP. So, I wear some very lightly on occasion now. But, I am VEY picky about it.

I have also had to ask a female student in one of my classes to stop wearing some really strong stuff to class. That *really* insulted her and ticked her off. My reply was, "Okay, but if you wear it in my classroom don't call me over to your desk to ask me any questions cause I'm not going to make myself sick over you!" She lightened it up then.

Ugh, I used to have that problem at work. I have a strong reaction to certain types of perfume, and it turned out that the lady at the desk next to me liked to wear a lot of perfume to work. I kept trying to figure out a nice way to tell her without hurting her feelings, "Excuse me, but your perfume is choking me!" :) Fortunately she didn't do that too often, but the days she did were awful to sit through.
