Hullo all! - I had a lot of catching up to do... since I hadn't posted since before yesterday!
Penny.... when you left the window open at work did you never refresh it? - So they are just clocking how long Explorer is open?
Ramius.... all I can say is ~Doh!~

I did refresh the window, posted things here, etc. They can't be clocking how long Explorer is open, because if they had I should have clocked in at least 1,000 minutes. What Ramius suggested was that they are taking the number hits/refreshes, etc. and then multiplying by a set amount of time a user is assumed to spend viewing each page. In other words, there's no way they can prove anything against me.
I could sit here and write a long post that takes a couple of hours to write, and it would still only clock based on loading the "posting comment" window and then loading the page when I post the comment (probably less than 5 minutes versus 2 hours). On the other hand, I could go through 100 links getting to where I want to go in less than a couple of minutes and have them saying that I was "online" for over 2 hours, because it's all based on page hits/refreshes.
It's kinda handy knowing how they probably do it. If I play my cards right, I could hang out here all day and not do a lick of work! (Not that I would do that, mind you!) ;)
