That turret thing looks directly over the kitchen window. If it passes through anywhere near there, it isn't a full staircase the width of that turret. Maybe a little hole with a ladder. I kinda wonder if it isn't just an architectural element that sits on the roof and doesn't have access.

I've worked on Country Clubs where the only way into a feature like this, and attic access, was through the window.

you are correct... the turret is fer looks only... no way to access it from below... I checked it out... I wuz lookin' fer a good snipin' hide...
