Hm...maybe it was a strain of no-see-um that I've managed to work up an immunity to?

What theme songs, from SP? I like the closing there better than the opening. Nice graphics.

Sounds like maybe some of ya'll carried some of those nasty things home with ya! Yikes! You could've created a whole new breeding ground for 'em right at your place.

From a website:
Reminiscent of Batman (without the gadgets or the courage), Die Fledermaus reluctantly joins The Tick and Arthur on some of their heroic adventures. When he does show up, Die Fledermaus always appears calm, cool and collected speaking in his monotone voice, that is until he faints.

Here, we have Die Fledermaus (left, in brown costume) being verbally scored by American Maid, another local superhero, while The Tick and his moth-winged sidekick, Arthur, look on stoically.

Yeah, that's one thing I like about Japanese science fiction in general: they mix magic and SF pretty well. I haven't seen a lot of anime, but I've watched Japanese cartoons since I was little so I'm kind of preconditioned to like it. One of the better animes I've seen so far is Vampire Hunter D, which also mixes horror with SF and magic.
To: Fedora
What anime do you watch? Oh no... not *another* one... :-)
How do you feel about Speed Racer?
To: JenB
Yeah, the opening theme is rather pop. And the mixed in English is just...kinda jarring. The end theme is nicer.
Yikes...hadn't realized it was so late! I should get to bed soon.
Brr...another cold one, though not as cold as it was that week we were in Florida. We missed the coldest week of the year! Yay! "Only" a little below zero tonight.

I musta not encountered the same bugses you guys did at Entmoot. I mean...I got a few no-see-um bites, but nothing any more serious than that. This is what my legs ~still~ look like from Entmoot.
To: Ramius
How do you feel about Speed Racer? It seems there are so few of us around who remember the real stuff. *sigh*

Fledermaus was hilarious :) I'm trying to remember some other episodes--I remember a lot of them had to do with the villain wanting to carve their name into the Moon or otherwise crash the earth into the Moon :)
To: HairOfTheDog
Gees! Those still look almost fresh! Nasty things.

Hm...not sure if I'd like that one. I'm not much on horror. I'm a sissy, I admit it!

Yeah, I thought the English was jarring, too.
I should go to bed. Got a long drive tomorrow... man, I do not want to be away from FR for two-three days, but... oh well. I'll be back Friday night.

Dang... My legs and feet are much, much worse than that.
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh dear! You poor thing! Yeah, I didn't get bitten up that badly at all...but then, I don't think I was outside as much as some of ya. And then we were mostly on the beach...they weren't as bad there as they were on the patio.
I'll get my come-uppance in a few months here. Sigh.

How do you feel about Speed Racer? And the one with the submarine that was a space ship.
To: Ramius
How do you feel about Speed Racer?Um, my brother got me the DVD for Christmas, I have the first issue of the comic book, and when I was little I used to have an attachment on the front of my bed so I could pretend my bed was Speed Racer's car--does that answer your question? :)
To: JenB
Good luck on your trip! Check in if you can...maybe you'll have a few minutes, who knows?
See you on Friday!
