I heard he was going to be in the Mardi Gras parade.... but know no details of the "god of wine and mirth" business!

You used to have dreams about Frodo? Hope they were good dreams! :) I've only had a couple LotR-related dreams, which is kind of odd because usually if I'm into a subject I tend to have intense dreams about it. I think dreaming about Middle Earth would be cool--although it could be kinda scary if you dream about somewhere like Mirkwood or Moria or Mordor or something!

What did Astin do in Vegas?
To: Fedora
Frodo was in my dreams a lot in the FoTR time period! (~smiles~)
But my dreams about Frodo were closer to Fanfic than actual Middle Earth plots ;~D

Best wishes and prayers! This is just the consultation, right? When will he have to have the surgery?

ROFL at the pic of young Elijah and Macaulay Culkin! I actually think I saw that on TV once, but didn't know who Elijah was at the time. Was that the one where one of the kids--I think Culkin's character?--was demonic and trying to kill the other one?

What was Avalon about?

MC's character was a bad kid indeed in that film. Would do bad things and then play innocent. His parents believed him for a long time.

Let us know how the surgery appointment goes!

Usually when I dream about movies they're more like fanfic plots than actual plots, too, LOL! Sometimes I've dreamed I'm on the set of Star Wars sequels that haven't been filmed yet :) Then I had a dream I was Spider-Man and I ended up hanging out with the X-Men :)

The Good Son.

It's about a big Russian family that immigrates to (if I remember right) Baltimore, a few at a time. They all save up money to help bring the rest of the family over. It follows for several generations...that's where it gets depressing, because the big, close extended families just don't exist anymore.
It seems like a movie that you either love or hate. The plot is kinda meandering since it's just following life. There are big events, but not really ONE climax. But it really captures what family is about, and has a lot of funny quotes. I like it a lot.

He was on the show called Las Vegas, playing a guy who wins a million dollars. I only caught parts of it, but the parts I saw I was not impressed with! :o

Sounds like an interesting movie. Any idea why it was called "Avalon"?--the title made me think of King Arthur, which is one reason I asked.
To: Fedora
As I recall, it's what they called the first house they bought - kind of as a symbol of what the new world meant to them.

Wasn't he in The Faculty, too? Yes, he had a pretty big part in that one. That's the movie he weas shooting when Harry KNowles of "Ain't it Cool News" told him he had to play Frodo.
