We commented on that at Entmoot. Said he looked like a fox. Not dragonish.

I can see how translating the philosophy/idea side of Heinlein to the big screen would be challenging.
Incidentally, which of Heinlein's stuff has been adapted to movie form? I've seen several movies I felt were inspired by Puppet Masters as well as at least one actual adaptation, and then there's Destination Moon. Anything else you're aware of?

I could see a fox, too. He had a cool voice, though.

OK folks!
The baby woke up so I've got to run. Poor thing's got a runny nose so she keeps waking up all snotty. She's just miserable! :-(
Good night!

I enjoyed that Oscar show more than most I can remember. Now, then again I don't usually watch them all the way through, but this one I did.
I was impressed that it seemed like this one was more about movies (as it should be) and less about wacko leftist actors (as it should not be).
I thought Billy Crystal did a fine job. His one-man show number at the beginning was just plain good theater. His intro montage piece was hysterical. Especially of course, the part where M Moore gets smooshed.
They seemed to get it this time, that we want a good show about good movies, and we just don't want to hear about your little peeves. I was impressed that even Tim Robbins and Alec Baldwin managed to deport themselves with class. That's saying something.
That Sean Penn had no class was, well... we already knew that. Even he could've been worse.

Says he wants to do LOTR all over again.Maybe he could get it right this time...
Did I say that out loud...?

Um... Apparently there was a 1950s series called "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet" that was loosely based on his "Space Cadet" novel, as well as an animated miniseries based on "Red Planet". Haven't seen any of those. And yes, two movies credit "Puppet Masters" as inspiration.
www.imdb.com - wonderful site, though they have no info for Have Spacesuit yet.
Oh dear, and just based on Googling, it looks like someone's writing a screenplay for Moon is a Harsh Mistress, too. Now, I'd love to see, say, a retro-feeling tv series based on The Rolling Stones...

hehehe... Sheesh... some men you just can't reach.
Your penance is three back-to-back Bakshi's. Perhaps then you will appreciate PJ. :-)

How was skiin' Penny? Should've been a nice clear day!
I don't know if we are gonna feel like trekking to Seattle soon enough or not! But we are thinkin' it over.

Watchin' a movie about a great adventure!
Heard my IRS check is up there.... might mean a trip up to visit this week!

Lol!
Yeah, it was a small joke while drawing it.
When getting your order at McThuggies, never ask to be Thuggie-sized.
The counter-workers run around the counter, beat you up, and take your wallet.
THEN they tell you how much your order costs.
If you complain that they took your wallet and hence your money, they beat you up again..

Think I've seen some episodes of "Tom Corbett"--don't remember where. Will have to dig up some of that other stuff. Which movies credit "Puppet Masters"?--I've seen a bunch that didn't credit it but seemed to basically follow the same idea. For instance IMO "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" was basically "Puppet Masters".

(Oscar needs a Best Ensemble Acting Category. If they'd had one,LOTR would have been 12 for 12-JSiegel)

I felt bad for Seabiscuit, a great story and a great movie.... should have won something, in any other year. When they were calling it, I was willing to give them Adapted Screenplay. But... Now that we have them all, I wouldn't give them up!
