Thanks! (I think!) ;)

I want to get some nice bright colors to wear to the wedding... the blue one I have is nice, but more subdued.

Yes, it was fun...

Speaking of the missing party... she slept five hours out of the six hour drive there and back, so of course she couldn't get to sleep last night. She called in sick to work this morning and is currently asleep in her chair...

Gave me a pretty good chuckle...rather startling on a Sunday! LOL

Steve went to see the Passion with Andrew (you know, his buddy he goes hunting with, we sent Andrew's brother a Hobbit Hole care package in Afghanistan...you know? Celeste's husband. Do I need to introduce Andrew and Celeste anymore or you as familiar with them as I am with Sonya?)

Anyway, that's why I'm on line...waiting for my frozen mexican food dinner to be ready...I didn't go to the Enchilada moot, but I can celebrate their good time in spirit!

I did too!! I was emotional the minute it started, but it wasn't because I'd worked myself up, I was very calm before it started...I think just because it was so wonderful to see the scriptures that have meant so much to me during my life actually coming to life...it was astounding.

Didn't you just love the first part?? Where Jesus is praying in the Garden and then "puts his foot down" so to speak (without being too descriptive, for those who haven't see it yet.) I wanted to CHEER! YES!

I was like you...I left the theater feeling completely emotionally and physically drained (I shook HARD during the scourging), but COMPLETELY at peace...I did the same thing as you...went home and slept peacefully and deeply.

My mom clutched her handbag and didn't shed a tear. She's just that way. I bawled and held on to a girl from my church that I only know a little bit. (She came up to me during the worship service this morning and we just hugged.)

I wish you'd been with me. Sounds like we had about the same reaction.

Steve is there now.

I don't think we need a lot of explanation about who Celeste is! - But I wouldn't have remembered husband Andrew... Got it now though!

My friend Tiffney went to see the film yesterday and wanted to talk a lot about it, which we did...

I just made a possible wedding bouquet from silk flowers that I already have. My mother did dry and silk flower arrangements as a hobby, and I had some of her arrangements still, though after all these years, the arrangements were pretty tired and smashed and dusty.

Well, yesterday I took them apart and washed the flowers in the sink and practiced arranging them. I think it looks kinda nice, and is something my mom at least touched, even if she would have arranged them better. I wish I had my camera so you could tell me if it really doesn't look good, but I loaned camera to Sonya for the next couple weeks.

I think she feels ok, just sleepy, and she's taking care of that as I type.

So what did you think of the end of the Hamilton trilogy?

Not a bad plan at all IMO... we got started late, left late... she needs the day off.

Oh! It would have been really cool to see it with you. At any rate, I am glad to know you had the same reaction of peace that I did. Can you believe after all my concern I could come home and sleep? I loved that!

Do you have a friend who is good at flower arranging? I am not good at that... but I wanted to have all bright Texas flowers. I bought a lot of various and assundry silk ones at various places and then just dumped 'em on Peggy to arrange. They came out stunning! And I was just ready to have something "okay" but would be happy cause I had the specific kind of flowers I wanted. Surprising what people who are good at it can do! Since your mom can't, maybe somebody else would do it for you. I think we need SuziQ for this! :-)

If she's on here I'll see if I can hang with you.... if you try to make it fun. I don't generally do that stuff... but for ROTK... it will be different.

Has ecurbh escaped the house for the day? Or will he be doing something else? :-D

It was... interesting. IMHO, the whole series seemed to suffer from a persistent pattern of massive, long build-up, followed by a very short pay-off. All three books had the structure, and the overarcing story as well.

So the ending, to me, felt really rushed. And Deus Ex Machina, even if it was laid out clearly long before that they were going to get some sort of help from the Sleeping God. They just show up and whoosh, everything's fixed, everyone lives happily ever after. The ending worked, I think, although why did Fletcher Christian get to hang around for a bit and the rest of the possessees got vanished immediately? And some of the characters didn't quite feel finished.

Still, I liked it. Interesting, thought-provoking in some ways. I don't think Quinn Dexter got what he deserved by a long stretch.
