You are right. One can't take any chances of he said, she said. Also, she could have been failing the class, hence the need for tutoring. He gives her a bad grade and she gets pissed.

At minimum, this teacher is guilty of bad judgment. At worse, he needs to be castrated and hung from a tree....
But seriously, if he is guilty, he deserves anything the law can throw at him. Unfortunately, if he is not guilty of the charges, his career is still likely over. Certainly he is done at that school:
