Do you know of the Kalevala? It's a collection of old Finnish songs and verses or "Runes." Players of the kantele and sing runes from memory are known as "rune singers".

A Finnish country doctor Elias Lonnrot collected these songs and wrote them down, thus we have the Kalevala. He did this in early 19th century.

The Norse traditions are more than just a fancy of mine.

I've got one manuscript, and two outlines for sequels.
