[Old Sarge]

We could lie together in that tower,
o'er mist-enshrouded bower,
drinking in the scented flower,
holding, loving through the hour

Taking ease and each other,
'round the grounds, and then another
pass by scented dale to hover
over heart and hearth, like lovers.

Later in the morning,
as the new day
rose a-borning,
we walked the beach together,
My Love and I.

Booming surf matched
my beating heart that morning,
as next to me, fingers intertwined with mine,
this wondrous woman walked.

Gazing out to sea,
then shyly looking at the sand and surf,
then looking up at me,
My Love's soft eyes on me.

Bare feet and limbs
strolled along at my side,
sunlight from the dawn-clouds
broke on platinum hair.

I watched Her sidelong,
then stopped our stroll.
My arms reached for Her,
while the tide would roll.

Holding hands in the surf,
my neck bent low,
She kissed me again, that adoring kiss
that only certain poets know.

In the heather
on the hill
running like children
free at will
wild and care free
just we two
butterflies are free
like dew
on gossamer wings
we set flight

Can you come fly with me
it's all I know
can you see
I take to flight because I can
and ride the wind with my man
no more terrors
of the night
in his arms I am alright

Just the next place over
from our lavender bower
sits a house in the woods,
heather turves all about.

Another place to spend
time while hearts are on the mend
quiet days with sunny nooks
just the place for writing books

poets dance, and lovers press
into each others' arms
like flowers in a book
keepsake of the day.

I never can tell, if the picture inspires the lines, or I have the lines already, and I just find the pic to go with them?

Maybe it's both...

We walked on, kicking at the surf
and I stopped to watch a boat
motor out beyond the beacons
and out to sea.
I felt My Love at my side,
watching, too.

My Love? I asked.
"Yes", She said.
I believe you, who you are,
and what you've done for me.
I don't feel alone anymore,
and that was the first time
my tears ran free.

"Not the first time",
My Love said, "just in
memory. You still have so much
to do, so much to heal."

Then, you're staying
with me? For now?

"My Darling, I will be here
always", She replied, "inside
your heart is where I abide."

"But, for now, I'll stay with you,
just as you see me. Because..."

Why? I said into Her pause.
Were you planning on leaving?
After all that's happened to me? To us?

[Old Sarge]

"It's not meant for
those of my kind
to be with you long.
But, I choose to stay,"

"It's important that I do.
You have to learn to let go,
and love yourself,
and to do that... I love you."

You love me?
Can you do that,
be in love with yourself,
a part of you?

"Of course you can!"
My Love said, smiling. "It's the
first part of the healing -
to love and be loved by you.
Then you can love others."

My Love, you've given me
so much, so far.
But it's so hard to tust, to let
yourself be open and -

"But, that's exactly what you must do,
my love", She said.
"There's no safer love for you,
than the love of yourself -
the love I have for you."

My Love drew closer,
gentle hands on my chest,
"Now that the tears are gone,
there's room in your heart for me again.
Love me, and I
shall be in love with you."

After the last Ice Age, the Beasts gathered in council to determine who would rule this beautiful new world that the ice had left for them.

PERISH THE THOUGHT!!!!!
For years I've told people that music is my "drug" of choice ..... there's music to relax one, to energize one, to lift one's spirits, the list goes on and on. A pill is only good for one dose; a song can be played over and over again.

Saves a lot of money and keeps me away from the pharmacy counters. :-)
