A real life OOPS!!!

A real life OOPS!!!

Friday night four of TheGirl’s friends spent the night. TheGirl had a hand bell thingie to attend all day Saturday, and had to leave the house at 6:freaking30 a.m.

One friend left at 9:00 a.m., another left at 11:00 a.m. We are left with two friends and no Girl. The two friends & I pick up TheGirl at 6:00 p.m. While we were out we decided to get some dinner, during dinner I asked one of the friends (Hanna) when she had to be home {I did not want her to get home past the time she was expected}, she said she should prolly go home after we finished dinner.

One the way home (after purchasing some really cool water balloon stuffs) we decided to stop by Hanna’s house and beg her mom to let her spend the night again, so Hanna could enjoy the water balloon fun.

After a lot of please, please, please’s, Hanna’s mom said yes. Right when we were saying our goodbye’s thank you’s, Hanna’s mom notices that Hanna had a second piercing in her ears (not authorized by either parent). There were some ewh that’s bad’s and YIKES!! I asked Hanna’s mom, Mother to Mother, could she please put off punishment until later and still allow Hanna to spend the night - - - “we really need her for the water balloon fight”.

Hanna’s mom agreed, although upset with her daughter, she could see it was a minor infraction and we were all having fun being girls.

After finalizing the time I would get Hanna back home, her mom made one last guilt note about the ear piercing thing, then said, “Next thing I know you will be getting your belly button pierced.” and lifted up Hanna’s shirt a bit to reveal . . . .

A freshly pierced belly button!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the reactions:

Both Mothers: Jaws drop TheGirl & Abby: Giggle Hanna: Oh, Crap Busted!!

Needless to say, Hanna did not get to spend the night.

in VA, the parent has to sign for cartilege piercing and i am sure that the same would be required for a bellybutton piercing!

Oh yes there is a Law in Texas about piercing under-agers. Believe me, I went thru hell and back to get my daughters pierced. We had just gone thru an adoption proceeding with her in which her name was changed, we did not have a BC that had the new name on it and her name had to match mine.
We ended up with court documents being used to prove that she was mine. They had the police there and ran a background on me and everything. No Biggie of course just seems a little extreme when you are actually the real Mother!!!!!!

The same law applies here in Texas. BUT - if you have a friend do it, you don't need no stinkin parental consent.

No I can't - because that is an area that can really get infected easily - but what do I know, we used to pierce our own ears at one time ! lol

My step sister and I pierced my ears and it was painful (I was not the brightest bulb in the box even then!!). A down side to that is I cannot wear cheap earrings.

No doubt her mom will make her take great care of it.
