Because of the criticism, all major Hollywood studios decided to pass on "The Passion." The film was without a distributor for months until Newmarket Films agreed to distribute it for Mr. Gibson's company, Icon Productions. None of the major studios wanted to distribute "The Passion"? I wonder what they're afraid of. That it's too true to the Gospels?

But the major studios don't have any problems with any film that denigrates Christianity of twist the truth, such as LAST TEMPTATION.
