Well it doesn't help to post very controversial threads just a few days or even minutes after signing up. There are quite a number of people who sign up just to post threads that belong on DU. It is better to start out just commenting on other Freepers's posts first before posting your own threads. That way other Freepers get an idea about who you are and where you're coming from.
