"My 59 year old sister had a heart attack this morning and is presently in the hospital in Indiana. She is in stable condition and my younger sister is with her."
Prayers for you and your family. I'm sure others on this thread will lift you in their prayers as well.
What's nice about being a Christian is race isn't an issue. My daughter is 1/2 Chinese and 1/2 Caucasian. Her "race" is Eurasian. At the moment she is in a Christian school and makes high honors. Later on what she will have to face is intellectual discrimination since that combination has an extremely high academic bar - how silly! I just read in The Economist that they (Asians) must do 25% better in exams whereas lower scores are more acceptable from other groups competitng for the same slot in higher education. In other words, they quota the bright ones out and pitch their appeal and easily accept those that don't score high - totally backwards ... .
From the Christian perspective we are all part of the human race. Thankfully He doesn't discriminate and loves each of us regardless of color, ethnicity etc.. This may be a surprise to some "Christians" but there will be different COLORS of Christians in heaven.
A sweet little girl in my daughter's class is from Nigeria. She is new to the U.S.. You wouldn't believe what a little seven year old has witnessed and escaped from. The Muslims there get off on slaughtering Christians. Eventually they fled to the U.S.. Others that don't have the means live from minute to minute.

She really ought to consider putting down her race as "white" when she signs up for college. Force the school to argue the point, which they usually aren't anxious to do.
If Obama can choose to be black, surely your daughter can choose to be white.
