I've had a chance to think about it, and in reflection, I think the tribe made the best choice nailing out Tina in the first vote. Since they don't have fire and don't, by extension, have water, she was the logical person to vote out because she is the least physically fit out of the group.
I'm not sure if there is strategy in not making fire or not, but it seems like there is, aside from Hatch's stated plan. Three tribes, 18 people who have played the game before, and not one can get flames? I don't buy it. I think a lot of players are hoping to nail out the 'weaker' players as quickly as possible.
I did notice that Rupert was building a spear during one segment, and if rumors are to be believed, he is on one of the islands that has a good supply of fish in the bay. With the mask, as soon as fire is provided, I think he can keep them fed -- or maybe just he and Rudy will enjoy meals.
I'm looking forward to see what twists Probst throws in to the game. All in all, even with the guy showing his hatch, it looks to be an enjoyable season.

U saw her on Fox news this morning.....there's nothing weak about her. She's a powerhouse. She's slim, has that pale fragile looking skin and hair...but sometimes people with that configuration can lift trucks with one hand and go without food water sleep and everything else interminably. I'm glad she went before she could start weaving her clever little webs.
