"But those drugs don't increase the sex drive." Better do some more research. The most discussed side effect of Wellbutrin is multiple orgasm in women.

What a mess. I'm on Prozac for my heart and I don't have an issue regarding those kinds of side effects.
Bottom line, Kobe had sex with another woman besides his wife.

If any of you ever knew a bipolar you would immediately realize that NOTHING this woman says can be taken at face value and that she will likely do or say anything....even when medicated. Case closed, if true.
BTW, if true, what the hell are these prosecutors up to????

I'm on Prozac for my heartYou don't have to answer this, but how does Prozac help your heart?
Never heard of it being used in that way.

I was thinking in terms of taking both of those medications at the same time and overdosing. My understanding from the article is she had been prescribed the one, did an overdose, was prescribed the other. Not "taking both"...as far as the representations above establish, anyway.

What do you mean, tactics? The guy is fighting for his lfe. If he is innocent of these charges, than what do you expect him to do?
Sure, take us back to the classic defense tactic, "she was asking for it"....

Those are some powerful antidepressants she was taking. Seroquel can make you into a zombie, the same with Wellbutrin. Seroquel is not an antidepressant but, rather a antipsychotic (drugs given to shizophrenics), often given to bipolar patients who tend to be rapid cyclers and non-responsive to tradional mood stabilizers such as Lithium, and Carbamazepione. If she is manic depressive, and if she was of her meds, the defense actually has a legitimate argument. People cycling through a manic phase tend to be very sexually impulsive.
Wellbutrin, is an atypical antiderpessant, structurally related to methylphenidate (Ritilin), and it does not make one into a zombie, although Seroquel easily could.

Wow, what a cool guy, he found a young chick whose medications turned her into a raging nymphomaniac that he couldn't fight off. So nice of him to cater to her needs and give the needy little slut what she so wanted and craved!

Having been involved with someone who is bi-polar I will say only this, if they can prove she is they have a solid defense.
In many cases being bi-polar is accompanied by eating or other disorders. Her being on those meds is a strong indication that she has some serious stuff going on. In addition, if she went off those meds for even a day or two at some point and then back on (people that are bi-polar tend to try to "self medicate") she will have been completely screwed up up stairs and there would have been no way for him to know that.

I often wonder if these tools from the doctor's bag do more harm than good. IMHO, the Hippocratic Oath may be playing second fiddle to the almighty dollar. This is the kind of sentiment that people who have never had psychiatric problems, nor have any professional knowledge of the brain, it's physiology, and how these drugs work. No offense intended. These drugs are very useful to the physician as intended.
One can argue that perhaps these drugs are overperscribed to people who may not really need them, but one should never argue that they actually do more harm than good, because this is not the case. Keeping crazy people sane, the depressed from killing themselves, and the OCD from crippling repetition is good medicine.

But those drugs don't increase the sex drive. Most of them say for side effects loss of sex drive. I know a lot of gals on them, TOO MANY gals on those kinds of drugs, and they all say NO sex drive at all. That is assuming one is actually in compliance in taking the drugs, and studies show that on average only 20-30% of Americans are actually compliant with the drug regimine outlined by their physician. Is she is a manic depressive, and if she was off her drugs, the defense has a legitimate point. People in the manic phase tend to be very sexually impulsive.
