Had many published in 'Letters To The Editor' of several newspapers in the South, especially in 2000. Try to limit word count to 250 and no more than 300. Make the paragraphs short (even one sentence if appropriate). Keep the language to a 7th grade level. Have your opening sentence set the agenda (linked to some running news item, if possible) for the remainder of the letter.

All good, constructive advice. Have you ever been paid? Were your stories all local? Which papers were the most receptive to you? Did you have to provide any bio information?
