Have you ever rolled your own? Tamales, I mean.

I got a 'kit' to make a dozen at home, and I made them last night.

I filled them with chicken, poblano peppers I roasted, and queso blanco.

YUM!

What happened? I lost FR for a minute.

We buy ours from a lady at work. Usually 10 dozen. What is left over we steam at New Years. I like the chicken also but beans are a favorite of mine too.

We had not eaten tamales before we moved to S TX. I came home from work one day and my son told me he had eaten some. He told me the filling was really good but the skin was just too tough to chew:')
