As this year comes to an end, and a new year begins, may will all take time out, to count our blessings and give to those who are less fortunate.

that guy's shirt is priceless - and it's not even photoshopped, it's the real thing!
Here's a thread about it.

I am just so sick of these two.

Who does that? Who actually goes out in public without a coat, but with a wool scarf tossed jauntily about the neck, and seriously thinks it looks stylish?

Howard Dean's true colors (lest anyone wondered) are shown:
Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean wants to improve the nation's cities by putting $100 billion toward creating a million jobs, increasing the federal minimum wage to $7 an hour, and providing credit for urban businesses. ...
His plan would set up a national fund to provide a permanent source of funding to build, rehabilitate and preserve affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families, and double the amount for the Community Development Block Grant program to $10 billion. full story
Gee, I wonder where he plans to get the money for these programs?
Maybe we can use Saddam's stash:
BEIRUT, Lebanon -- Saddam Hussein has acknowledged depositing billions of dollars abroad before his ouster and has given interrogators the names of people who know where the money is, a member of the Iraqi Governing Council said in remarks published Monday. The U.S.-appointed council estimates that the Iraqi dictator seized $40 billion while in power and is now searching for that amount deposited in Switzerland, Japan, Germany and other countries, Iyad Allawi told the London-based Arab newspapers Al-Hayat and Asharq al-Awsat. rest of story

Question:
Who does that? Who actually goes out in public without a coat, but with a wool scarf tossed jauntily about the neck, and seriously thinks it looks stylish? Answer: The Clinton-Clods

And they are somewhat color coordinated, too...shades of brown, maybe Naomi Wolfe helped them out, lol.
My pervase thought was if they got mad at each other, they could choke each other in mere moments, maybe before the SS agents could stop them...

From last thread:
How's it going with daughter and sil and granddaughter visit? We had a wonderful visit! We had them over for three of the seven days they were here.
SIL was no problem, as long as no politics are discussed. I did enjoy watching her fume at Thanksgiving as we watched the coverage of President Bush's visit with the troops though. :-) I didn't say a word but that BIG grin on my face certainly said it all.
Poor SIL, remember... as if President Bush wasn't enough of a thorn in her side, we live in FL and our gov is Jeb Bush. *more big grinning*

Chels (sans Ian?) did not wear a scarf. Perhaps living and working in Manhattan she has become more fashion conscious?

Your post from the last thread about Dean's schooling on policy... Here's a story about him getting advise from Mad Maddy Albright.
Democrats schooling Dean on foreign policy
When Dean decided he wanted an extensive tutorial on foreign policy in August, his advisers arranged a six-hour seminar at a hotel outside Washington, featuring a private class on Iraq and other areas of the Middle East from Madeleine K. Albright, former secretary of state.
Could Maddy have been the nudge to make Dean say that theory of GWB knowing about 9/11 before it happened was interesting? If she's crazy enough to believe the Bush Administration was holding OBL to use for the next election she's crazy enough to believe GWB knew about 9/11.
How did we survive these dangerous loons?
Speaking of dangerous loons... This is a Byron York piece on George Soros.

Nope, no Clinton backing of Clark to deflate Dean going on in this nomination process!
Clark's New TV Ad Features Bill Clinton
The clip is only a few seconds and shows Clinton walking from a podium at the White House to place the Presidential Medal of Freedom over Clark's head, honoring his fellow Arkansan for his work in Kosovo as NATO (news - web sites) supreme allied commander.

Thanks for all the donation info. It's been a year since my last surgery so I can now donate blood. I'm glad you reminded me about bone marrow donation, need to make an appt. for that.
Please let everyone know why organ donation is on your mind lately.

For next year's gift list:
A great addition to any shopping list. Plant the seeds, add a little water, place chia pet deep down in a spider hole and months later your chia pet is ready for negotiations.
'Pop Goes The Weasel'. Each time you wiggle his head, it is like he is surrendering over and over
