Please Freep the poll. It's a little too close. With New Mexico and Missouri possibly losing their CCW laws, I would hate to see Florida tighten their restrictions. We should be moving forward and not back. Thanks.

With over almost 16K responses and it is still over 60% yes. That surprises me.

Why are New Mexico and Missouri losing their CCW laws? I haven't heard of this.

Floridians are allowed to carry concealed weapons if they sit through a two-hour lecture and show an instructor they can handle a gun safely. Should a concealed-weapons permit be so easy to get?

The poll question is kind of rigged to the easy side of getting a permit.

There is a little more to it.

At the moment, Missouri, or I should say St. Louis, no longer has a CCW law. The anti's went shopping for a judge who claimed it was unconstitutional. Since it worked in Missouri, the anti's are trying to do the same in New Mexico. You can get the full story from Packing.org.

The good news is Wisconsin will have a Senate vote coming the week of January 12. The Senate may have the votes for an over ride.

I*ll FReep my Florida personal mega-email list, military email lists, Gator lists, etc to this URL

Even dems in Florida know of the "ALAMO" reception foreigners got after leaving Miami Airport unarmed in a marked rental car.

I recall how rapes, murders, and violent attacks dropped when LEOs in the Orlando Florida area got women into handgun safety and range training and helped them get legal concealed handgun carry licenses.

Lock and load ladies!

Thanks for the help. I know a lot of people who think online polls are useless but I do know when we lose one, it's all over the news the next day.

I had a similar thread made for Ohio so they could make it easier to finally get their CCW law passed. I had a total of just seven responses.

We shouldn't lose this Florida poll. Florida wasn't the first to make a CCW law but they have been active in granting Reciprocity to other states. It's also one of the most popular tourist destinations.

freeped and bumped - and those of us here in MO are NOT going to lose our LTC law - even if the MO supremes try to take it away, we'll change the constitution and take it back.

Thanks. I didn't realize this was a duplicate thread but it seems to be working. It doubles the chance to notice the thread. I wish the polls had a separate sidebar on the right side of the Latest Posts page.
