Bill Moyers...another example of a journalist in liberal clothing who takes himself far too seriously.

Gary Sinese is one of my favorite actors. He was one of the leads in the mini-series "The Stand," as well as being one of the major roles in "Forrest Gump."
I am so envious you got to see him!

Vikings lost, so Green Bay made the playoffs!! Congratulations!
Indianapolis also made the playoffs!

My goodness. There's almost nothing worse than being away from home and having such pain. All we want at such times is our own beds.
I will say a prayer for a quick trip home. Godspeed.

Nobody listens to cooks. Except that everyone listens to cooks. Either we have no clue, or we are the wise men of the universe. I'm begining to opt for the no-clue crowd.
Someone wise once pointed out a certain truth to me. "Eating is one of the true joys in life." I am not going to comment on over eating or gluttony, or any such thing. The comment alone stands for what it says, as I view it.
During the last two decades or so, I have come to have a great appreciation for the Culinary Arts. No Cook should refer to themselves as "just a cook." I truly respect the profession, Indeed. It is art, science, and much more.

Eagles have home field thru out the playoffs!!!!!
Amazing, the Patriots and the Eagles were both shut out on Opening Day. The Patsies beat the Eagles in week 2!
Two years ago, I was thinking that the Eagles and Patriots were destined to meet in the Super Bowl.
Perhaps it will happen this year.

Prayers lifted, Guennie. Back pain is no fun. Prayers lifted for travel mercies, also.

I just returned from visiting with my Dad. His sister from California was there, as were several other aunts and uncles. The nurse came to debride the wound, and Dad's pain is horrific. Dad was a boxer when young, and worked construction. I've seen him shake off injuries that would leave normal men on the floor or at the hospital. His tolerance for physical pain is enormous. Today is the first day in my life that I've ever seen my father cry out in pain.

I am still speechless.
Watched the last 2 minutes of the Cardinal game.
I still can't believe it... Whoo-hoo is right!
To: Guenevere
Get well Guennie!
Did you get to walk along the river in San Antonio?
To: JRandomFreeper
John, you said that the mastoid is exposed. Can they cover the wound with a dressing, to keep the air from it and reduce the pain?
Prayers for your dad.
To: Guenevere
Prayers lifting upward on your behalf. It's going to be a nasty trip home. Joint Ritis works well for muscle pain. Sometimes it takes several applications to get the relief you're looking for, but presistence pays off.
To: Miss Marple
They keep it covered all of the time, except when the nurse is working on it. Half his head is swathed in bandages. I meant exposed, as in not having tissue over it.
The nurse suggested morphine drops topically, but Dad's GP won't be back in town until Wed, and the hard-headed old guy won't see another Dr. so he'll be in pain for at least a few more days.
Thanks for the prayers.
