"Intermittents du Spectacle" (Showbiz Intermittents) attack the Francois Mitterrand National Library in order to protest against globalization and the French Minister of Culture & Communication. Probably just the fact that there was going to be a big media presence there, also general feelings of hatred towards anything Western that makes a lot of money. Attention whores.
The genuine French LOTR fans who showed up must be feeling sick with embarrasment.

I suppose they were angry that the Orcs don't win?

Wonder which celebs were there?
I'd be more than sick with embarrassment.
I'd be ticked off at anyone who wrecked this for me. Pity the person behind me that talks or plays with plastic wrappers!

Not sure who was there, but it looks like nobody was hurt.
I think we might see PJ adding some Frenchie decapitations in the ROTK EE.
To: Alouette
That would be an apt analogy for their political sentiments.

Pity the person behind me that talks or plays with plastic wrappers! Unlike TTT, we are NOT going with Jr's friend and his dad.

A premiere in Paris? Talk about casting pearls before swine.
To: HairOfTheDog
They see it as the another product of the "inferior, imperialist, and idiotic" Yankee culture polluting their "sophisticated, superb, and sublime" French culture.

Pity the person behind me that talks or plays with plastic wrappers!Have little pity. You're going to see ROTK a dozen times in the theaters, at least, aren't you?

Prolly! - though later on when the theaters empty out I can relocate if there is a 'wrapper krinkler' behind me.
Until then.... I have a PFFFFFFFT! that can hush a whole theater.
