Chelsea came from a family that had both parents. They were family pets and used as field dogs as well. She's not registered, and I could care less. She's prolly not breed standard eihter. I've never measured her, but she weighs in about 80 lbs.

She's vey sweet and adores Elf-boy. Which is exactly what I wanted.

Yeah... They are great dogs.... My favorite breed.

Chelsea is one of the fairly leggy labradors that have become numerous from field-trial types in recent years.... compared to that pic above, she has long legs, if I remember, in comparison. Now... it is apples and oranges, in that the dog above is a male, that will have a wider head and chest than most females.

But important in the original purpose was a strong dog that could also fit in a duck boat and not be too big. The 100 pound males coming out of the field trial people were just too big.
