Spiderboy and I got back from my mother's house almost an hour ago. Whew! We did not get out to see Santa today, but I feel as if I have been shopping! My car was loaded down. I came home with a new tree, and a full array of ornaments to go with it. And... The Bird. It isn't Christmas at my house without "The Bird". I had to plug it in to make sure it still works, and my brother immediately remarked, "It's The Bird!"
It is really just another ornament you hide in the tree that has an electronic mechanism that makes bird chirping noises. My great-grandmother gave it to me when I was a kid.
