On my phone, if I have a number set up in my phone's address book (is that what they're called?) it will display the name that I attached to it rather than the actual caller ID. If you don't want to try blocking the number, try adding it to your phone's address list; then when he calls, it should display the name you gave it when you added it to the list, even is his caller ID is unavailable. Then you won't have to remember his number, it will show his name, and you can ignore it. ;)
