Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Well, Rose and I just finished watching our tape of the Battlestar Galactica remake from the SciFi channel. We both agreed that as a stand-alone SF movie, it was pretty good. As a remake of the original Galactica, though, well... Rose was a much bigger fan of the original than I was (I got to see very few of the episodes during the original run), and the changes in the remake kept bothering her quite a bit. Didn't bother me as much!
SciFi is rebroadcasting both parts Sunday night, btw.

Bad Boys 2! It's a purdy good movie. It's girl's night for watching flicks at my house... :-) doncha wish you were here?
Didja find any shipmates? Or at least a place to locate 'em? Any luck?

Actually, I think I did find a couple of leads, though they may be old. There's a LT I knew that was listed and he showed as a full CDR in Alameda, and there was a LtJG I knew that showed as a LtCDR in Honolulu. Maybe I can find them. That would be cool.

Recently had a monitor blow up in front of me. (New, 6 months old.) Socos is still in business? We called their monitors "suck-o's", because they had a 100% failure rate, most of it catastrophic. The company wanted cheap monitors, and those gave "cheap" a bad name.

So, you gonna go ahead and try to find the guys? And maybe get in touch? A trip to Hawaii would be cool! Especially about NOW!!! If it's as cold there as it is here.
Were they particular guys you were lookin' for? Or just the ones you happened to find.
To: Ramius
Safe drive darlin'! Have a good weekend and get that shopping done! :-)
To: Wneighbor
They had a search engine and I just started looking for names that I could remember off the top of my head. Got a couple of hits, but they may be cold.
For example, this was almost what? 15 years ago... the folks I knew that had any time in back then should all be retired by now, or close to it. some the records that I found for people I knew were maybe four or five years old. I sent a couple of emails. Maybe they'll work.
It would be fun to find some of the guys from the old boat. There's one that I've been waiting all this time to make an apology to for something I did many years ago, but it bugs me still.

There's one that I've been waiting all this time to make an apology to for something I did many years ago, but it bugs me still.I got some of those kind of people in my past that I've never been able to catch up with. I guess if it's meant to be we'll find those people. :-)
Anyway, I hope you hear back from the other guys. It would be a treat for you I'm sure.
No ice on the road up there is there? You be careful driving home tonight. We gots ice in places here. :-)
Want to chat view this weekend? If so, holler at me. I was supposed to be going to Dallas for the weekend on the bike... but I just don't see that happening on the ice.

It's times like this that I really wish we didn't have to be beacons of restraint...
