I didn't see any reason for Marian to fall for him, for one. He didn't come across as a loveable rascal...which is how I see Harold Hill.

We seriously looked at taking the train to Florida for the Moot... but because of the schedules involved, it would have taken longer than driving.

I've got 4 days of training in Carrollton the week after entmoot

Holy Cow! My office is 5 miles from Carrollton. Sound like a Lunch Moot or two might be in order.

I just informed my first group of students tonight that they will see very little of me this month. They didn't seem too upset about it though!

I love 10 meters when it's open. I was licensed in 1988. About a month after I got my ticket, I came off duty one morning, got the air and learned about the Lockerbie bombing. I used to love listening to VOA, BBC Overseas, adn Radio Moscow on 40 meters.

Taking the train would be very fun. But, kinda slow for my schedule. I'll either have to fly up and right back for class or take the summer off. And I'll prolly need to work the summer rather than get that pay cut.

If I can get it in the training schedule we can lunch moot. My baby brother also works in Carrollton so I'm gonna be visiting with him when I get done the last day. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I will be arriving at training by 8:30 AM (leaving Wichita at 6), training until 3 or 3:30 then driving back to Wichita to teach my night classes from 5:30 to 9:30.

I don't think ya'll will be hearing much from me in the Hobbit Hole that week!
