Over 47 hours here...but I wouldn't drive it. Huh-uh!

My parents DID drive that far, though, when they moved here. Or close to that. From Portland, OR, with three kids under the age of four. Dad dropped Mom and us off in Indiana with her parents for awhile, though, so part of the trip he was alone. Still...they were far braver than I!

Yeah, wonder if the motivation is going to be there when I get back home? I just found out this afternoon that I've got 4 days of training in Carrollton the week after entmoot. Means I'm gonna be drivin' back and forth every day the 20th-23rd. Ugh!

I worry enough about Tam as it is - he's thin compared to most cats I've ever had, and so active that he just doesn't put on weight at all. If anything were ever to happen to him...well, I worry, that's all!

Our semester starts the Tuesday after I get back...and my boss is gone all next week, too. I imagine there'll be a HEAP of work, plus a ton of students who've forgotten how to use a computer during the Christmas break.

Sigh.

But I don't wanna think about that yet!

Seriously, it's as much of a problem with Siamese as it is with Labrador breeders getting miles away from the original type. Those darned things don't even look like cats to me.

I just found out that the week after I am at entmoot I'll be down at HQ in SF, meeting with the CFO, COO, and CEO, justifying my projects list for 2004. [sigh] yah... I'm sure I'll be able to relax. Yah, right...

Saw the new DVD with Matthew Broderick recently. It was...well, different. Not as believable somehow.

Don't worry. Siamese look very thin to anybody who's always had ordinary kitties. As long as Tam is eating and active, there's nothing to worry about. If there's muscle in the hollow of the thigh, the upper pelvic bones have a covering of flesh, and their skin has a good refill time when you "tent" it up, they're not too thin. If you want to put a little weight on him, try NutraCal. It's really for hunting dogs, but it's basically vitamins, malt and carb calories. My middle cat has no teeth left, so she tends not to eat enough. I ply her with NutraCal and it keeps her sassy though not really fat.
